MISSION

The mission of Generations Church is to know God and to make Him known, to this generation and beyond, in real time.

VISION

The vision of Generations Church is to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ by equipping His people - of all ages - to minister to God, to their families, to one another, and to those who do not yet know Him, resulting in the making of genuine disciples.

PURPOSE

The purpose of Generations Church of Granbury is to be a ministry-based church, ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit: upward through genuine worship, inward through edifying fellowship, outward through evangelistic serving and missions, and onward through discipling the next generation.

WHY 3 STATEMENTS?

Because a singular statement can be vague and one dimensional, three statements should help us draw a clearer picture of what is desired, envisioned, and hoped for. 

OUR BELIEFS

We believe that the Bible is the God-breathed, God-inspired infallible Word of God. We believe that it was written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit, to write in their own words, what He wanted them to write.  We believe the Bible is God's word, powerful and able to instruct, rebuke, exhort and change a person's life.  It is sacred and central to our faith.

We believe in one God, eternally existing as God the Father and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit..

We believe mankind is created in the image and likeness of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world upon everyone, thus placing us in dire need of Jesus Christ’s salvation.

We believe that mankind’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow, that works repentance, and faith - which is a gift from God.  When a person receives God's gift of salvation, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, leading to genuine repentance, he or she receives eternal life.  This new birth is necessary for all people wanting to be saved.

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and resurrected from the grave, and ascended into Heaven; where He is seated at the right hand of the Father as our Lord, Savior, High Priest, and Advocate.  He is also the Builder of His Church, the Baptizer in the Holy Spirit, and our soon returning King.

We believe that it is very important for a believer to be baptized in water - as commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself which was obeyed by all of His Apostles - according to:

We believe that assembling with other believers is vitally important for a believer’s spiritual growth and fruitfulness.

We believe that healing is provided for the whole person: spirit, soul, and body; made possible by the power of God through the prayer of faith and the laying on of hands. It is a continuation of Christ’s ministry and is the privilege of every child of God.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a gift from God for all believers who have been born again. This experience is accompanied by spiritual gifts as the Holy Spirit Himself gives; including tongues, prophecy, power for witnessing, etc.

We believe in the gifts of the Spirit that are to operate in the church as He wills, both decently and in order.
